Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately document patient visits based on provider dictation
- Transcribe physical exam findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and other relevant information into the EMR
- Maintain high standards of documentation accuracy, consistency, and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Organize and update patient records and medical histories
- Collaborate with providers and administrative teams to ensure complete and timely records
- Monitor for documentation gaps and support providers in meeting charting deadlines
- Provide clerical and administrative support to clinical teams as needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Medical Scribe Professional (CMSP) offered by ACMSS is preferred
- Prior experience as a medical scribe or in clinical documentation is required, at least two years
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, preferred if related to wound care
- Excellent typing speed, accuracy, and attention to detail, minimum of 60 wpm
- Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite and other healthcare-related software
- Calm, focused demeanor under pressure
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Willingness to grow and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- A genuine passion for supporting quality patient care and accurate medical documentation
