Concrete polishing and coating crew leaders are responsible for leading, training, and assisting crew members in the grinding and honing of concrete floors as well as the application of epoxy coatings.
The position of a Crew Leader is a full-time position requiring moderate travel which will include frequent multi-night stays. While there are no set hours, the incumbent will be required to be flexible with hours and days necessary to fulfill the overall obligations.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Leadership:
Demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep service operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team.
Displays a customer comes first attitude by training and holding employees accountable for delivering legendary customer service.
Drives the implementation of company programs by motivating, supporting and enforcing standards that meet or exceed requirements set forth by Preferred Service as well as our customers, federal, state and local authorities.
Manages their job site with integrity, honesty, and knowledge.
Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates appropriate responsibilities and practices to ensure the smooth flow of operations.
Manages and accurately reports all area expenses including labor, materials and supplies.

Ensures the completion, accuracy, and communication of job site progress to both PM and direct supervisor
Monitors and manages staffing levels and existing relationships, working towards new customer relationships to achieve, maintain, and grow operational functionality.
Team Building:
Actively manages by regularly conducting performance assessments, providing feedback, and setting challenging goals to improve performance and support organizational objectives.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with employees and customers by understanding and addressing individual needs and concerns and anticipating new opportunities. Engages all levels both internal and external in order to best respond to customer needs in an appropriate manner. .
Such other acts, responsibility, authority or other things as are or may be necessary to fulfill the overall purpose of the job.
Safety:
Understand the safety program, SDS book, Hazardous Communication Program, policies and procedures. Toolbox talks are mandatory each week. Helpers must know where all related safety documentation is at all times on each project.
Qualification Requirements
To succeed in this program, an individual must be able to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances. Applicants should be comfortable with frequent travel involving multi-night stays and frequent over-time which could involve evenings and weekends.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED

Summary of Experience:
Progressively responsible customer service experience
Management and or supervisory experience
Experience in Concrete Polishing and/or Epoxy Coating preferred
Experience in a fast-paced environment and floor maintenance experience a plus
