GENERAL SUMMARY
The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for developing the annual financial and operating budget, reporting monthly results including comprehensive variance analyses, and partnering with business leaders to provide timely and effective business decision support.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis has regular interaction with the Chief Operating Officer and department leaders.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting (40%)
• Responsible for routine reporting by preparing company consolidated financial and operational performance reports including monthly financial package for the Board of Directors.
• Take the lead in preparation of presentations in support of board and audit committee meetings, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings, the annual conference, and various strategic committees of the company.
Budgeting & Forecasting (30%)
• Develop, implement and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance of the Company’s business.
• Participate in the strategic aspects of the annual operating plan and budget process for the company
• Responsible for the delivery and tactical implementation of the annual budgeting process
Analysis (30%)
• Influence the accuracy and effectiveness of the corporate accounting consolidation and closing process and treasury operations through analytical review, variance analysis, and trend analysis.
• Monthly variance analysis of budget vs. actual results.
• When applicable, suggest trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications.
• Scenario modeling efforts for the development and growth of member hotels.
• Assist the CFO in providing appropriate information to influence decision making and identify finance priorities.
• Participate in the financial modeling and due diligence efforts related to the company's ongoing activities.
• Assist the CFO in partnering with other business unit leadership as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 years of finance and accounting experience with progressive responsibility
• Professional communication and writing skills
• Strong business acumen
• Advanced Excel skills required, with ability to learn other software as required
• Great Plains experience preferred but not a must
• Accounting / Finance Bachelors degree required from accredited university
• Masters in Finance or Accounting / MBA preferred, not required
• CPA preferred, not required
WORKING CONDITIONS
This role is hybrid based out of the Preferred Travel Group Newport Beach, CA office. Expected to work in the office 2-3 days per week. Working environment is a class-A professional office building. Office space is beautifully as well as functionally decorated including all required technology tools. Employee is seated most of the time.

SALARY RANGE
$90,000-$130,000 annually; actual compensation within this range will be determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise.
