The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis plays a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy by leading budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. This position is responsible for overseeing the annual budgeting process, analyzing financial results, and collaborating with leadership to support strategic decision-making. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role maintains frequent interaction with the executive leaders to provide financial insights and operational guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare consolidated financial and operational reports, including the monthly financial package for the Board of Directors.
- Lead the development of presentations for board and audit committee meetings, senior leadership reviews, the annual conference, and strategic company committees.
- Develop and implement financial planning tools that support executive decision-making and performance measurement.
- Assist the CFO in financial modeling, due diligence efforts, and cross-functional collaboration to align financial priorities with business objectives.
- Drive the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Support the creation and execution of the company’s annual operating plan.
- Support scenario modeling and financial forecasting related to the company’s growth initiatives.
- Enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of financial consolidation, closing processes, and treasury operations through in-depth analysis.
- Conduct monthly variance analyses comparing actual performance against budgeted expectations.
- Identify financial trends, assess potential business impacts, and provide strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; ability to learn new financial software as needed.
- Strong business acumen with excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution required.
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) or CPA designation preferred but not mandatory.
