Preferred Warranties, Inc. is seeking an experienced Dealer Relationship Territory Manager who has strong relationships with used car dealers throughout Maine. Having a strong book of existing dealer relationships will be critical to this role.
Experience:
- Proven experience in dealer relationship territory management with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Must come with a robust rolodex of dealer contacts and a record of maintaining strong dealer relationships.
- Prior in-dealership sales experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong business development skills with the ability to analyze market conditions and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in guiding team efforts towards achieving common goals.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on client satisfaction.
- English/Spanish bilingual is a plus!
- The ability to be autonomous, self-driven, pro-active, and a team player.
- Reliable motor vehicle, a valid driver's license, and good driving record (required).
Duties:
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to identify and secure New & Used Automotive & Powersports dealership clients and grow your territory.
- Conduct warm and cold calling to prospective clients, fostering relationships that lead to sales opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals while ensuring client satisfaction throughout the process.
- Manage accounts post-sale, maintaining strong relationships and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
- As subject matter expert, train dealership staffs on PWI products, tools, and technology, as well as train on fresh methods of closing product sales.
- Analyze market trends as well as client and customer needs so as to position our offerings effectively.
- Thoroughly document all research, activity, and customer interactions in our CRM to ensure thorough follow-through in future interactions.
- Assure high quality of claims or other problem resolution, to both dealer clients and end customers, by your responsiveness, resourcefulness, and ability to resolve problems swiftly and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and address client concerns promptly.
- Provide leadership within the sales team by sharing insights, strategies, and best practices, as well as willingness to help teammates when a need might arise.
Environmental requirements:
Position requires walking, sitting, and standing. Driving automobile to customer premises is required. Varying climates, weather conditions, and walking surfaces, inside and outside.
