We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team at Premier. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all HR functions, ensuring that our workforce is supported and aligned with our mission of delivering exceptional emergency medical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and participate in daily HR functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws
- Promote a positive, professional, and supportive work environment
- Maintain and update the employment policies as directed
- Administer and oversee compliance programs including Affirmative Action, Drug-Free Workplace Act, and ADA
- Assist the Payroll and Benefits Manager with coordinating employee benefits programs (health, dental, life, disability, 401(k))
- Assist with benefit plan design and communicate changes through materials or presentations
- Assist with administering workers compensation and unemployment compensation, including claims and reporting
- Support compensation planning, including developing job descriptions and salary ranges
- Track performance appraisals, notify leadership of delays, and coordinate payroll changes
- Assist in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes alongside the Recruiting Manager
- Maintain accurate and complete personnel records in compliance with legal and company standards
- Prepare reports for executive leadership and participate in salary/benefit surveys
- Counsel staff and management on personnel issues including policy interpretation and disciplinary matters
- Assist with employee scheduling, leave tracking, and payroll coordination
- Organize staff development and training programs with executive approval
- Ensure timely communication of staffing changes, benefit updates, and policy revisions
- Participate in department and executive meetings and assist with related documentation and projects

Pay: $75,000.00- $110,000.00 per year

Requirements
- Bachelors degree in human resources management, business administration or a related field; masters degree preferred
- 4-5 years proven experience as an HR manager or similar role, ideally within the healthcare sector.
- Current human resources credentials or certification, such as HRCI-PHR, HRCI-SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP, or similar, highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HRIS systems; experience with Paycom Online Payroll and HR Software and/or ESO is a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Solid understanding of human capital management principles and practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees at all levels.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and general office systems.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in employee relations and compliance preferred.
