What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at Premier Brands of America, Inc.?
Responsible for leading and managing a team of associates responsible for producing products to be shipped to Premier’s customer base. The Production Supervisor is responsible for performance metrics that are critical to the success of shipping Premier orders on time and within budget. The Production Supervisor ensures a safe work environment and that all team members follow company policies and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Produce Production Work orders in the sequence as provided by the Production Scheduler and ensure the work orders are reported accurately and on time.
- Meet Production deadlines and support team leader with daily tasks Maintain accurate time and attendance records
- Ensure that production lines are operating in compliance with the Company policy and procedures and legal guidelines.
- Supports all Quality initiatives including internal cGMP requirements as well as external third-party audits.
- Provides annual performance reviews and recommendations for pay increases for the Production team
- Provides disciplinary action with documentation when required.
- Schedule and cover weekly and weekend overtime when required.
- Recommend, justify and implement process/equipment projects to reduce cost while increasing throughput and quality.
- Work with engineering departments to troubleshoot and minimize downtime of production equipment.
- Ability to manage conflict and coach production employees.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing and packaging company.
- Knowledge of MRP, FDA, cGMP, OSHA safety requirements, and Lean Manufacturing techniques are a plus.
- Must excel in a team-oriented organization with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent leadership skills as well as technical competency.
- Must be able to perform all duties in a facility's environment that includes exposure to loud noises, temperature extremes, inclement weather conditions, airborne particles, vibration, and hazardous materials.
- Must maintain a positive attitude and work effectively as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
