What You'll Do
This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures. This role involves preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting the overall financial health of Premier Credit Union along with managing the activities of the accounting department and staff. Additionally, the position will handle board governance and board-related items ensuring effective coordination and documentation for board activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- CPA and 3 years of financial accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Fiserv, Jack Henry, or similar platforms).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and manage accounting staff.
- Understanding of board governance and experience providing board support preferred.
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
