Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the dental office, ensuring a smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Supervise administrative staff and coordinate their activities to optimize productivity.
- Oversee patient scheduling, billing, and insurance verification processes.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with JCAHO standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the practice.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the office environment.
- Provide training and support to staff on medical administrative support systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic.
- Address patient inquiries and resolve any issues related to their experience at the practice.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental office management role or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of medical records management, medical terminology, and dental office procedures.
- Familiarity with JCAHO standards and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management within a healthcare setting.
- Experience with electronic health record systems, particularly eClinicalWorks or Epic, is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
