A highly respected Chicago-based firm is seeking an experienced Not-for-Profit Audit Manager to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage audit engagements for not-for-profit clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audit processes, identifying and resolving technical issues as needed.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations to enhance their financial operations.
- Mentor and develop audit staff, fostering professional growth and team collaboration.
- Stay informed on the latest industry trends and regulations to ensure best practices in client service.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for expanding client relationships and firm growth.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation is required.
- 5-8 years of progressive audit experience, with a focus on not-for-profit clients preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting requirements.
- Proven leadership and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, spending 2 days per week in the office.
Salary: $140,000 starting
