Summary: The Premier Physician Network offers a variety of Nurse Practitioner positions with diverse levels of responsibility. Our Nurse Practitioners, in conjunction with the center's Physicians and clinical staff, provide exemplary patient primary health care and continuity of medical services under the direction of the supervising physician/s. Responsibilities will vary with each position, as well as according to specialty; accessibility to physicians, staff, and supervisors is essential.
Nature and Scope: Proficiency in professional medical practice enables provision of patient care and evaluation. Skilled in applying and modifying medical principles, methods, and techniques for ongoing patient care. Competent in taking medical histories, assessing medical conditions, and interpreting findings. Ability to maintain quality assurance and quality control standards. Calm and effective reaction skills are required in emergency situations. Excellent communication skills with patients and colleagues are crucial.
Qualifications1. A Master's degree from an accredited NP program is required.
2. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) is mandatory, along with current State of Ohio licensure, which must be maintained at all times.
3. A valid Certificate to Prescribe must be held and kept up-to-date at all times.
4. A minimum of five years of experience as a Registered Nurse is necessary; one year of experience as an ACNP is preferred.
5. A thorough understanding of HIPAA law is essential, with professional discretion demonstrated at all times.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, with emphasis on interaction with patients and colleagues.
7. Computer literacy is necessary, including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Electronic Medical Records, preferably EPIC.
