What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel General Manager position at Premier Hospitality?
Premier Hospitality is searching for an experienced General Manager to lead our awesome team and open the all new Residence Inn by Marriott Traverse City. Our General Managers lead incredible teams, deliver exceptional service, and create unforgettable guest experiences.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Oversee work, set clear objectives, and allocate responsibilities at all levels (Front Office, Kitchen Staff, Maids, Maintenance, etc.)
- Collaborate with external parties such as suppliers, travel agencies, event/conference planners, and the local community.
- Inspect facilities regularly and enforce strict compliance with brand, health, and safety standards.
- Develop and implement an intuitive and efficient sales and marketing strategy.
- Deal with maintenance issues, shortages in staff or equipment, renovations etc.
- Communicate and Interact with Guests.
Skills
- MUST have proven experience as Hotel General Manager.
- Previous experience with an Marriott branded hotel is a plus.
- Previous experience in Food & Beverage.
- Working knowledge of hotel management software (Fosse) is an advantage.
- Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Outstanding leadership skills and a great attention to detail.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
