What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Premier Island Management Group?
Hours/Days: 10 am - 10 pm Monday - Sunday, with two days off.
SUMMARY OF THE MAIN FUNCTION/PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Responsible for meeting and exceeding the expectations of all guests. The Server/Cocktail demonstrates the PIMG values by providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous, personable, and professional manner to ensure a positive guest experience. This is a fast-paced position that will involve constant customer interaction with the ability to work on daily tasks and duties to create classic & innovative experiences in accordance with customers' needs and expectations according to PIMG drink standards. KEY PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete the open/close checklist with the manager's sign-off each shift.
- Attend daily lineups each shift.
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcoholic beverages.
- Interact with customers, take orders, and serve food and drinks.
- Assess customer's needs and preferences and make recommendations.
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
- Plan and present bar menu.
- Check customers' identification and confirm they meet the legal drinking age.
- Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience while simultaneously taking drink and food orders.
- Always be knowledgeable of menus
ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Records: Staff will be responsible for all sales tickets and receipts. Lost sales tickets will be written up and lead to termination.
- Safety: Staff is responsible for monitoring guest/owner alcohol consumption as well as proper food handling techniques and procedures. Staff is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment and reporting any safety issues to management.
- Customer Service: Responsible for making sure that all questions and requests made by guests/owners are addressed promptly and efficiently. Must achieve a high level of service with a focus on exceeding guest expectations.
- Dept. Specific: Staff is responsible for meeting sales goals by the Food & Beverage department. Bartenders are required to keep an active and consistent inventory and are accountable for variances in the beverage volumes and counts. Bartenders are to have passion, respect, excellence, motivation, integrity, enthusiasm, and reliability.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred not required.
- English verbal communication skills; second language a plus.
- Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages and knowledge of ABC laws.
- Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Possess or has the ability to obtain Alcoholic Beverage Certification and Food Handler permits.
- Ability to efficiently operate a Point-of-Sale terminal.
- Ability to solve practical problems.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information.

- Point of Sale equipment
- Soda dispensing machines
- Portable tables, chairs, and furniture
- Serving utensils of varying sizes and shapes
- Portable bars and bar equipment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Requires standing/walking/bending throughout shift and ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly.
- Ability to walk on varying terrain including hard floors, tile, and sand for multiple hours as well as perform in a hot and humid environment.
- Responsible for maintaining hydrated at all times.
- Walk for long periods of time, possibly extended distances.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position requires a varying work environment ranging from office settings with normally moderate noise levels to work outdoors with environments that can be very hot and humid.
- Sunglasses and sunscreen are highly recommended and comfortable footwear is encouraged.
- Varied weather conditions are expected.
- Will work near moving or mechanical parts.
- Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates.
- Each employee is responsible for maintaining hydrated at all times.
