General Description of Position:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for soldering parts onto circuit boards. Must be able to interpret and work with wire lists, schematic diagrams, process sheets/route cards and technical drawing packages. The candidate will also be responsible for modifications, reworks and repairs of electrical components assemblies and subassemblies and complex modules by interpreting schematic diagrams, process sheets, technical drawing packages or other specifications.
General Responsibilities and Duties
Ø Ability to use essential tools and equipment and operate various equipment
Ø Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ø Ability to read and interpret kit sheets, assembly drawings, product specific documentation and work instructions
Ø Must possess knowledge of a wide variety of thru-hole and surface mount parts with respect to polarity and component identification
Ø Must possess a strong work ethic, be able to work with limited supervision and meet requirements of the attendance policy
Ø Must perform all functions of the job in a safe and professional manner
Ø Must keep work area(s) in neat, clean, safe and orderly condition
Ø Other tasks/responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Ø General understanding of electronic components, electronics design and manufacturing
Ø General understanding of production processes, equipment and tools associated with a printed circuit board
Ø Skilled PTH soldering with basic rework
Ø Basic soldering of SMT components
Ø Inspect own quality of work
Ø Basic knowledge of bill of materials, assembly drawings, product specific documentation, work instructions, and other general documents
Ø Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ø Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Education/Experience Required:
Ø GED/High School diploma or higher
Ø 3 to 5 years’ experience in circuit board manufacturing
Ø 3 to 5 years’ experience in soldering along with soldering certificate, helpful, not required
Ø IPC-A-610 or IPC J-STD-001
Ø Assembler I tasks as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
