Job Purpose: The Billing Specialist is a key member of the CBO Team. This position is responsible for working, resolving, and analyzing all aspects of accounts receivable and patient collections via direct and indirect interaction with our Revenue Cycle system; as well as patients, coworkers, and insurance companies. The position is mainly located within the Central Billing Office and at our clinics as needed.
Essential Functions: (Examples of Duties)
Job Requirements/Qualifications: (Describe minimum qualifications, preferred or required)
Education: H.S. Diploma or G.E
Experience: 1 year of healthcare billing experience is preferred.

- Insurance denials management and other business office functions as needed.
- Self-pay account management.
- Answer patient calls and resolve their inquiries over the phone.
- Patient billing advocacy, support, and customer service.
- Creating claims, as needed.
- Other Duties as assigned.
