Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. This position is essential for maintaining the functionality of our outdoor semi-truck & trailer parking lots.
Part-time and full-time positions available. Part-time position available in Flagler County and Polk County. Full-time position requires travel between all parking lot locations throughout Central Florida, with home base location in either Flagler County or Polk County is preferred. A company pick-up truck and equipment trailer will be provided to travel between lot locations. Overnight stay may be required for full-time positions when necessary to complete job duties. Company will provide hotel accommodations when overnight stay is required.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Ability to operate and maintain lawn care equipment and tools.
- Effectively operate and maneuver equipment trailer to and from lot.
- Maintain electric gate operator and associated equipment by performing basic mechanical checks and repairs as needed.
- Basic operation of heavy equipment, such as a skid steer and mini excavator.
- Maintain road and parking space conditions with skid steer, such as removing debris from stormwater drains and filling in holes/ruts in spaces with asphalt millings when needed.
- Light to heavy lifting required at times.
- Locate and remove unauthorized debris left by tenants, such as discarded tires and truck parts.
- Effectively communicate with management on completion status for daily assigned tasks and identify future maintenance needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hand tools and equipment, such as basic power tools, lawn mower, and edge trimmer.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment effectively is a plus.
- Ability to effectively maneuver 12'-14' trailer to haul necessary materials and equipment required.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team is important.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to groundskeeping and landscape management.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
