Patient Care Coordinator / Technician:
Premier Physical Therapy is a small business in Roselle, IL. We are a physical therapy practice that believes in providing exceptional care for our patients. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and detail-oriented Office Assistant to provide clerical and hands on assistance/support to our patients. You will perform a variety of tasks on a daily basis including answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, preparing and e-mailing correspondence, maintaining office cleanliness and filing. Other duties require you to assist the provider with patient care on the floor.
The ideal candidate has a passion for helping others and is willing to learn new skills. You have excellent communication skills and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. You are able to work independently as well as part of a team. You are comfortable with technology including email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Responsibilities:
- Work with patients in the treatment areas and guide / assist them as needed
- Assist with patient set up after theraputic ex. has been established using varios pieces of equiptment
- Answer phones and greet patients; provide excellent customer service
- Prepare patient appointment confirmations and change letters of correspondence
- Maintain office supplies inventory and order supplies; organize stock
- Assist patients with individualized plan of care
- Maintain office filing system; maintain office supplies inventory
- Maintain medical records per HIPAA regulations (training provided)
- Keep the reception area organized; maintain cleanliness of reception area (e.g., clean up mailboxes, remove trash, restock office supplies)
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience as a patient care technician
