What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Scheduler position at Premier Podiatry?
We're looking for a vibrant, professional, and highly organized Scheduler to join our modern and fast-paced podiatry office. In this role, you'll be the first voice our patients hear, so we are looking for someone who is loud (in a good way!), friendly, and polished, with a warm phone presence and outstanding customer service skills. You’ll coordinate patient care, manage incoming calls from patients and medical facilities, and ensure every detail is handled with precision and care. You will be responsible for coordinating patient care and managing calls from new and established patients, pharmacies, insurance companies, imaging centers, and other facilities, ensuring that all necessary medical records are accurately maintained.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls from new and established patients. Provide accurate information regarding insurance network participation, directions to the office, hours of operation, etc.
- Patient recall (i.e. following up with patients after missed appointments.
- Contact patients to schedule, confirm, or reschedule appointments.
- Interact with other departments in the practice.
- Register new patients in our Electronic Health Records system.
- Follow all administrative protocols and customer service standards.
Position Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with physicians, co-workers, other departments and patients of all ages, and from across a broad range of cultural and social economic backgrounds.
- Computer literate and ability to use multiple systems and acquire proficiency in multiple electronic systems.
- Ability to work as an integral team member under minimal supervision, in a fast-paced upscale medical environment.

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline highly preferred.
Certificates & Licenses: None required
Experience: 1-5 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting highly preferred. Willing to train the right candidate.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
