Description
Premier Pump & Power is a leading manufacturer of custom-engineered pump solutions. We specialize in large, trailer-mounted industrial and wastewater packages, delivering best-in-class performance, serviceability and built-in quality. We proudly serve thousands of customers nationwide from our headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and state-of-the-art plant in Houston, Texas.
We are looking for an experienced accountant to join our executive leadership team and head our finance department. You will manage all aspects of our business finances, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. You will be responsible for management of all company-wide financial activities, selecting and implementing a new ERP, preparing department budgets and driving business profitability and sustainability. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will help lead our financial strategy and operations at the highest level. You will report directly to the company President/CEO.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations of the company, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure the long-term financial health and profitability of the business.
- Lead the selection and implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Prepare and manage department budgets, ensuring financial objectives align with business goals
- Create step-by-step instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and checklists for all accounting, operational processes and subledger activities
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead cash flow management, working capital optimization, and financial risk assessment
- Manage tax planning and compliance, working closely with external auditors and tax advisors
- Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of financial discipline and accountability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA required)
- 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial leadership roles, including team management experience, preferably as a CFO or equivalent in the manufacturing sector
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial planning, budgeting, cost accounting and internal controls
- Experience implementing and managing ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic insights
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information
- Experience architecting General Ledger (GL) code structure from scratch
- Strong computer skills with a high level of proficiency in the desktop version of QuickBooks Enterprise and Microsoft Excel
Compensation & Benefits
- $125K to $160K in annual salary depending on experience
- 20% annual manager bonus program
- Hybrid work schedule (3 in and 2 out each week) except for month and year end closing of the books.
