Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Director to oversee and lead large-scale projects in the commercial construction and hospitality sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of large-scale commercial and hospitality construction projects.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Estimating and Bidding:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for large commercial and hospitality projects.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to accurately determine project costs.
- Develop and submit competitive bids, ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential project risks.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor project managers, site supervisors, and other project team members.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects that meet or exceed expectations.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred or significant work experience in construction estimating and project management.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on commercial and hospitality projects.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable, but not required.
- LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accreditation is a plus.
- Proven experience in construction estimating and bidding on large projects.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS, Excel, Project, etc.).
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves working in various environments, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
- The role requires physical activity, including lifting, bending, and working in potentially hazardous conditions.
- Travel to job sites is required, and availability for emergency response situations may be necessary.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $70-90k annually, DOE; with potential commission incentives
