JOB SUMMARY:
The Landscape Design Associate is responsible for all aspects of landscape architectural assignments from utilizing graphic programs, site planning, construction estimating, construction detailing, and project implementation. The Landscape Design Associate is versed in design concepts, basic planting design, hardscape materials, stormwater management, layout, and grading.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform site analysis, conceptual design, design development, and construction detailing
- Navigate software programs: AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop/Indesign, Microsoft Office
- Perform landscape architectural assignments with minimal supervision
- Work with internal departments to coordinate drawing sets
- Consult with manufacturers and material vendors to identify best products
- Conduct estimating take-offs and draft proposals for review
- Generate presentation drawings for large projects, imagery, and digital presentations
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 Years of Professional Experience
- Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture or related field, from an accredited University.
- Proficient in current design software (CAD, SketchUp, Photoshop)
- Thorough knowledge of industry basics, such as landscape design, construction, irrigation, maintenance, and blueprints
- Working knowledge of state and local municipal building and zoning code related to exterior hardscape layout, stormwater management, and grading
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to deliver presentations to clients
