Job Title: AutoCAD 3D Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD 3D Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing and drafting packaged systems for domestic water, HVAC, chiller plants, boiler plants, and fire pump applications. You will be responsible for creating precise 3D models, technical drawings, and layouts that meet customer requirements and industry standards. This role requires a strong background in AutoCAD 3D design, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent level of design experience).
• Convert 2D drawings into 3D models using AutoCAD software

Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D with at least 3 years of experience creating detailed 3D models and layouts for mechanical or packaged systems.

Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, chiller plants, boiler systems, or fire pump applications.

Familiarity with piping and mechanical system designs, including flow diagrams and system schematics.

Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, layouts, and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize AutoCAD 3D to create detailed models, layouts, and technical drawings for packaged systems, including domestic water, HVAC, chiller plants, boiler plants, and fire pump applications. Create and modify 3D designs for HVAC and piping systems based on specifications and project requirements.
• Develop accurate piping and equipment layouts, ensuring proper integration of components such as pumps, boilers, chillers, and fire suppression systems.
• Generate isometric views, assembly diagrams, and BOMs (Bill of Materials) to support manufacturing and installation processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet customer specifications.
• Customize designs to meet specific client requirements while adhering to industry standards and company guidelines.
• Review and revise designs based on feedback from stakeholders or field conditions, ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure drawings comply with applicable codes and standards, such as ASHRAE, NFPA, or other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and organize design documentation, including technical drawings, CAD files, and project records.
• Support engineers in troubleshooting design issues during production or installation.
