We are seeking a skilled Robotics Welder Technician to join our team at Atkins, VA. This contract-to-hire opportunity requires an experienced professional with a strong background in operating and programming robotic welding systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate robotic welding systems, ensuring proper fixture and alignment.
- Monitor welding processes and inspect welds for quality, adjusting parameters as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on robotic welding equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions to meet project specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to improve welding processes and production efficiency.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in robotic welding operation and programming.
- Knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, resistance welding, etc.).
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
- Familiarity with robotic welding brands (Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa, KUKA, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Welding certification (AWS, equivalent).
- Aluminum welding capabilities.
- Knowledgeable with PLC's & integration.
- MIG & TIG welding experience.
- Fabrication skills.
