What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Porter 190 position at Premiere Building Maintenance?
A Day Porter is an employee assigned to perform the overall janitorial services operation at the facility and will be cross trained as a restroom specialist, vacuum specialist, utility specialist, glass specialist, light duty specialist, pressure washing technician and floor technician.
Starting Pay: $15 an hour
Shift: 7:00AM-3:30PM Monday-Friday @ Garrett Academy
7:00AM-3:30PM Monday-Friday @ AC Corcoran
10:00AM-2:00PM Monday - Friday @ Ladson

The essential functions of a Day Porter include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Follow safety policies and procedures without exception
- Dusting
- Dust mopping
- Damp mopping
- Emptying trash
- Spot cleaning walls
- Spot cleaning carpet
- Vacuuming carpet
- Cleaning restrooms
- Cleaning glass and desktops
- Performing other similar and related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must pass background check
- Ability to build relationships with management and fellow employees
- Ability to stay on task while working independently
