Summary The District Manager directs and oversees the management of overall daily operations of multiple store locations. The District Manager is responsible for developing and leading activities involved in operating multiple store locations in a particular region to maximize efficiency and productivity. Also, responsible to lead, and mentor direct reports to achieve the Company's goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, develop and lead General Managers in the planning and execution of operational goals and objectives at multiple sites.
- Coach and train General Managers on hiring practices, scheduling, employee relations and workplace conflict management.
- Make regular visits to stores in market (must be in a store every day you are working).
- Consistently and accurately manages the store budget for each store assigned.
- Make sure each store is maintaining a neat, orderly, and safe environment placing emphasis on the life-saving rules.
- Ensure appropriate levels of inventory are maintained at the store levels managed, with appropriate number of staff.
- Reinforce the high level of customer service required at every store managed.
- Effectively investigate and resolve customer complaints to company standards.
- Partner with Human Resources to help investigate and resolve employee complaints.
- Implement systems/processes for loss prevention in the areas of warranty claims, safety and workers comp with support from HR.
- Ensures the consistent execution of company and industry standards.
- Addressing operational problems that arise.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and skills:
- Minimum High School Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3-year management experience in a Retail Store environment
- 5 – 7 years overall successful management experience preferred (multi-units) Automotive or related industry preferred
- Valid Driver's License
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Computer fluency required.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and clear thinking
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Leadership and decision-making ability
- Excellent problem solving and customer services skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with frequent interruptions
- Ability to travel to other markets if needed.

- Local candidate preferred.
