About your new role:
This is a great role responsible for helping to build and train a team of technical professionals who will directly impact the quality of products used in the medical industry. The Machine Operator is responsible for the quality of our product and the efficiency of our processes. As a Machine Operator you will perform the essential role of changeover, setting up, running, monitoring, and improving our proprietary equipment and manufacturing process. Our Machine Operators work independently following company procedures while strongly interacting with our Plant Manager to make sure that quality standards are met, and customer orders are delivered on-time.

The skills we will help you develop will allow you to understand the thermoforming process. You’ll then use your analytical ability to troubleshoot any machine issues as they may arise. Making use of multiple resources you’ll precisely set up and run machines, work confidently on multiple machines at the same time and interact and communicate with multiple groups of Inspector Packers to achieve our high-quality standards.
What you need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mathematics, analytical and troubleshooting skills and strong mechanical aptitude. Passing mathematical and mechanical aptitude tests are required in order to be considered.
- Must have attention to detail while working multiple machines/priorities concurrently, at a fast, high-performance pace.
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision to troubleshoot and solve moderate to complex problems related to manufacturing process and machinery.
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Capable of standing and being actively involved at the machine for the length of the scheduled shift. Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. will be occasionally needed. Must be well versed in the operation of general machinery.
- Computer skills. Must have basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Outlook). Must be able to operate manufacturing management software.
- Quality oriented.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SPC tools and CPK process control requirements.
- Willingness to participate in CI (Continuous Improvement) activities.
- Effectively communicate in verbal, written and electronic formats to co-workers and occasionally customers/visitors.
- Ability to positively work as part of a team.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Bilingual – English and Spanish. Demonstrated problem solving ability.
Your hours:
Four, 10-hour shifts every week.
1 st Shift: Monday through Thursday, with the occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays.
