Maintenance Technician
Job Description: Biewer Wisconsin Sawmill is looking to add a Full Time Maintenance Technician to our team in Prentice, WI.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Answering break down calls in all departments when needed.
Use oils, lubricants and other chemicals.
Perform maintenance on rolling stock.
Hot works and fabrication.
Troubleshoots and repairs electrical components (breakers, disconnects, motors, etc.)
Performs Lockout procedures as needed.
Responsibly follows all safety procedures and policies, works together with co-workers to ensure a safe working environment and reports all accidents or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
Assist in performing other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 Years experience preferred in Industrial maintenance/electrical
General Mechanical knowledge such as industrial maintenance, electrical experience, hand and power tool usage
Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Proficient computer skills.
Advanced knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, torching, arc welding and electrical principles.
Ability to safely operate forklift, scissor lift, and manual lift.
Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
