Our client is looking for a Computer Operator who will provide technical support for production workload scheduling and coordination across four platforms in two data centers. The role requires knowledge of mainframe technologies, especially z / OS, IMS, DB2, VTAM, SDSF, ITOM, and JES2.
Key responsibilities include :
- Managing change and incident requests through BMC Remedy for mainframe and server environments.
- Coordinating changes to RACF-protected libraries, program code, and workload scheduling.
- Analyzing and supporting requests related to production migration, workload applications, and legacy batch job decommissioning.
- Verifying and ensuring accuracy in change requests and enforcing policies.
- Scheduling batch jobs using Tivoli Workload Scheduler and Dynamic Workload Console.
- Reviewing daily production reports for accuracy and handling special job requests.
- Supporting implementations and releases, potentially requiring evening or weekend coverage.
The role involves enforcing work policies, ensuring adherence to procedures, and recommending process improvements.
