The Prescott Area Association of REALTOR® is a professional organization dedicated to supporting and advancing the real estate industry. We strive to empower our members through education, networking, and advocacy. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team and help grow our association by building new business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships.

Position Overview:

The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving the growth and sustainability of the association. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, creating strategic partnerships, and developing initiatives that align with the association’s mission and goals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent sales skills, a deep understanding of the real estate industry, and a passion for building strong relationships within the community.

This role will oversee the development, implementation, and management of educational programs and initiatives for the PAAR. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive educational strategy that supports the professional development of our members, including real estate professionals, brokers, and agents. Role will work closely with staff, external instructors, and stakeholders to ensure that educational offerings are aligned with member needs and provide value.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new opportunities for membership growth and revenue generation.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with local businesses, industry stakeholders, and real estate professionals.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to increase membership, event participation, and sponsorships.

Member Engagement:

  • Foster relationships with existing members and ensure their needs are met.
  • Organize and participate in networking events, conferences, and other activities that drive member engagement.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to leadership about member satisfaction and opportunities for improvement.

Sales & Sponsorships:

  • Generate revenue through sponsorships, advertisements, and other business development activities.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of sponsorships, from prospecting to negotiation to execution.
  • Develop proposals and contracts for potential sponsors and advertisers.

Marketing & Communications:

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials and campaigns to support business development efforts.
  • Represent the association at local and regional industry events to increase visibility and brand awareness.

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Use data and insights to make informed decisions on potential business ventures and programs.

Manage Real Estate School Value Proposition:

  • Coordinate with instructors, speakers, and other industry professionals to create and maintain a high-quality curriculum that meets the needs of real estate professionals.
  • Evaluate existing education programs and make recommendations for improvements or additions based on feedback, industry trends, and member needs.
  • Oversee the scheduling, registration, and logistics for educational events and training programs, both in-person and virtual.
  • Maintain accurate records of member participation and continuing education credits.
  • Work within budget constraints to manage expenses for educational programs and events.
  • Monitor and track educational outcomes and performance metrics to ensure goals and objectives are being met.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the association’s leadership and other departments to align business development strategies with overall organizational goals.
  • Provide reports and presentations on business development activities, successes, and challenges.

Administrative

  • Assist CEO with meeting scheduling, Board of Directors’ correspondence and meeting planning.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within the real estate or association industry.
  • Proven track record of generating revenue, building partnerships, and increasing membership in a membership-based organization.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of the real estate industry and association operations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (Salesforce, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Realtor Association or similar professional trade association.
  • Familiarity with local real estate markets and community dynamics.
  • If you have an Arizona Real Estate license, it must be in an inactive status in order to be considered for this position.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position onsite in Prescott, Arizona.
Staff Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Member Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Reliable transportation is required for off-site meetings and events.
Evening and weekend work may be required occasionally to support events or meetings.
Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the organization’s goals and operations.

  • Talking: Frequent verbal communication required to engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, both in person and over the phone.
  • Standing: Periodic standing may be required for meetings, presentations, or client interactions.

  • Operating Office Equipment: Must be able to operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, printers, copiers, and projectors.
  • Travel: Frequent travel to various locations, including meetings, conferences, and business events. Travel may require the ability to walk, navigate airports, and carry materials such as business documents or promotional materials.
  • This position may require occasional lifting of items up to 20 pounds (e.g., presentations, equipment, or promotional materials).

Pay: $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
