Project Manager (Development Team)

Prescription Lifeline is a family-owned Advocacy company dedicated to helping our members receive prescription medications through pharmaceutical companies at a discounted rate.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to support our software development team. This role reports directly to the Team Manager for direction and strategic guidance but holds primary responsibility for organizing, creating, and managing tickets for ongoing development projects.

If you are process-driven, enjoy collaborating with technical teams, and excel in tools like Jira, this role could be a great fit for you. Experience in Jira is mandatory, and familiarity with PHP, JavaScript and vue is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Ticket Creation & Management: Create, assign, and manage development tickets in Jira, ensuring clear requirements, priority, and deadlines.
• Project Coordination: Work closely with stakeholders and the development team to define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate daily communication across the development team to track progress, resolve blockers, and uphold project quality standards.
• Workflow Optimization: Develop and maintain efficient processes for monitoring and updating project tasks and statuses, leveraging Jira reporting and automation.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks early and develop mitigation strategies. Escalate issues as necessary to the Team Manager.
• Reporting & Documentation: Create regular status updates and project reports for stakeholders. Document lessons learned and best practices for continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., QA, Product, Design) to ensure alignment of project goals and seamless handoffs.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee adherence to project requirements, ensuring development tasks meet functional and technical specifications
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management or related roles, preferably in a software development environment.
• Proven track record of managing and organizing tickets in Jira (required).
• Familiarity with web development methodologies and technologies.
• Knowledge of PHP or exposure to similar backend languages (preferred).
• Technical Aptitude
• Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams about project requirements and timelines.

• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM) are a plus but not required
