The Role
As our Creative Director, you’ll set the visual tone for Pressed across every touchpoint — from store design and packaging to social content and digital campaigns. You’ll lead a highly creative and talented team, while actively designing and concepting brand evolutions. This role is perfect for someone who obsesses over design, follows cultural trends like a beat reporter, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Own
- Creative Strategy & Execution: Concept and lead high-impact campaigns that connect with today’s wellness consumer across retail, digital, and wholesale.
- Hands-On Design: From packaging and in-store displays to social posts and digital ads, you’ll bring ideas to life with refined, modern design.
- Trendspotting & Cultural Fluency: Stay in tune with pop culture, design trends, fashion, tech, and internet behavior — translating insights into scroll-stopping creative.
- Retail & Environment Design: Collaborate on store design and in-store branding to ensure physical spaces are as compelling as digital ones.
- Social-Led Thinking: Dream up social-first content ideas that feel native to the platforms, generate buzz, and drive engagement.
- Content Production: Oversee photo and video shoots — from concept to execution — that bring our brand to life across all mediums.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 3-4 creatives plus freelancers, fostering a culture of experimentation and excellence.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, brand, product, and retail teams to align creative vision with business goals.
What You Bring
- Minimum 5 years in a Creative Director role — ideally at a fast-moving, culture-driven brand or agency in CPG, beauty, wellness, or lifestyle.
- A standout portfolio showcasing graphic design across packaging, digital, print, brand identity, and physical space.
- A strong pulse on pop culture, digital trends, fashion, music, and emerging aesthetics — you know what’s next.
- Proven experience concepting and executing work across retail, social, and digital platforms.
- Comfort with store and environment design projects — signage, displays, customer journey thinking.
- A true passion for wellness
- Hands-on expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Leadership chops — you inspire creative teams while staying actively involved in the work.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities.
- On-site presence required at our Culver City HQ (minimum 4 days/week).
