Position Summary
The HR Intern will provide support to all functions of the human resources department for their assigned region in order to expedite the overall effectiveness of the department in a manner consistent with the organization’s mission. The HR Intern must maintain confidentiality of information and exercise discretion when providing information. The intern will be assigned to assist professional staff with providing support to the Human Resources team.
Essential Responsibilities
- This internship opportunity will provide support to the Human Resource department to assist with daily functions as well as projects to include:
- Partners and works with HR team members to assist with projects and daily functions.
- Assists with a defined special project, job description project:
- Tracking job description project progress and reporting out to HR Directors.
- Accesses the HRIS platform to:
- Run reports.
- Update information/data in the system.
- Validates and cross references data.
- Review job active and inactive job descriptions for accuracy, grammar, and spelling.
- Working with HR Directors to implement a new job description process for the organization.
- Updating and/or creating procedures.
- Creating templates.
- Creating communication to be relayed to programs and department leaders.
Qualifications
- Clearances. State Police; FBI clearance; child abuse clearance; CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training; any additional background checks/clearances required by state governing bodies.
- Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
Work Conditions
- Physical Demands. Requires vision, speech, and hearing.
