Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of accredited school with a primary focus in information technology preferred.
Experience:
- 7 years of clinical platforms in a long-term care environment
- Experience in various healthcare informatics roles for a minimum of 2 years
Job Location:
Louisville Corporate office or Michigan Group office is preferred, Hybrid permitted with prior approval.
Job Functions:
- Obtains and analyzes data related to EHR/Healthcare IT utilization, standards and governmental/regulatory mandates or regulations, and then makes and/or initiates recommendations for process improvement based upon data analytics in collaboration with key management team members.
- Reviews various data sources, analyzes the data and determines the insights from this data to determine the various impact on operations.
- Generates relevant reports to key stakeholders to communicate the various data trends, analysis and insights on a routine basis.
- Ensures data integrity of the various Healthcare IT sources utilized to conduct analysis and provide insights.
- Works in collaboration with various IT vendors as appropriate to understand system capabilities, updates, data sources, etc.
- Works to establish Healthcare IT Communication plan with team to ensure appropriate information is communicated to the key stakeholders.
- Is responsible for all the communications to end-users as it relates to system functionality, updates, new processes, and data analytics.
- Attends meetings and conference calls, to collect and to disseminate information related to the EHR/Healthcare IT effective communication. On-site visits may also be required.
- Collect technical feedback frequently to ensure end-users have the tools that are necessary to do their jobs, along with current tool functionality.
- Organizes staff for any upgrades or new releases that requires support, including identification of resources, training and scheduling of resources.
- Plays a key role in training related to the EHR/Healthcare IT, collaboratively with Education department leaders, which may include content development and training, resource management, and technical setup.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in the use of various computer and IT programs including Excel, PCC, Ability, QA Reader, QIC etc.
- Ability to generate various IT reports, PowerPoint, etc. to effectively communicate data outcomes and insights.
- Knowledge of learning principles and training techniques.
- Skilled in developing and conducting training programs.
- Ability to communicate and present effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of state and federal requirements for accreditation and certification.
- Possesses proficient computer skills.
- Ability to work with a culturally diverse employee population.
