Job Summary :
The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the cardiology clinic, focusing on high-quality patient care and effective clinical workflow.&
Key responsibilities include patient preparation, basic diagnostic procedures, and assisting in maintaining a clean, efficient, and patient-centered environment.&
This role requires excellent communication skills, a compassionate approach, and a commitment to ensuring a seamless patient experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Actively assist with patient care by rooming patients, measuring and recording vital signs, performing EKGs, and documenting information in EPIC.
- Support clinical flow by keeping providers and front desk staff informed of workflow changes and patient needs.
- Use the Ambulatory Patient Tracking system accurately and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
- Maintain clinical equipment, including calibrating scales monthly and performing daily EKG machine checks; contact Bio-Med for repairs as needed.
- Assist in other areas of the cardiology department as necessary to cover staffing shortages.
- Engage patients courteously and professionally, promoting a positive clinic environment.
