What You Will Be Doing

  • Achieve sales quotas for the assigned geographical region and product lines
  • Cultivate and manage new and existing customer relationships via telephone, email, or face-to-face visits
  • Develop new business opportunities to increase sales revenues
  • Stay current on industry trends, advancements, and changes that impact the business sales plan
  • Assist in the development of an overall sales and marketing strategy for the product line(s)
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales growth
  • Establish professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts
  • Prepare for non-standard working hours and potential out-of-town/country travel
  • Attend industry-related technical events and trade shows
  • Follow all procedures within the IMS system as required for this role

Experience You Will Need

  • 3-5 years of sales/account management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business, or a related field (preferred)
  • Demonstrated sales accomplishments in a manufacturing or capital equipment/project environment (preferred)
  • Technical understanding of product lines being represented
  • Knowledge of product application and industry experience
  • Ability to estimate projects and coordinate bidding with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing for accurate scope definition and project pricing
  • Strong negotiation skills in project pricing and long-term strategic partnerships
  • Experience in business-to-business, large/strategic customer segments
  • Proven ability to grow sales through prospecting and developing new accounts
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and organized
