JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Business and Community Relations in the behavioral health sector is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships, driving business growth, and fostering strong community relationships to support the organization’s mission. This role involves promoting the organization’s services, enhancing brand awareness, and building collaborative relationships with stakeholders such as healthcare providers, community leaders, and other key partners.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Strategic Business Development

  • Identify and develop business opportunities to expand the organization’s services and market reach.
  • Create and implement growth strategies that align with the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on service delivery, operational goals, and business development initiatives.

2. Community Engagement and Partnership Building

  • Establish and nurture relationships with key community stakeholders, including healthcare providers, schools, nonprofits, and government agencies.
  • Represent the organization at community events, forums, and meetings to promote behavioral health awareness and services.
  • Act as the primary liaison for community outreach initiatives, fostering partnerships that enhance service access and visibility.

3. Brand Promotion and Marketing

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to raise awareness of the organization’s programs and services.
  • Oversee the creation of promotional materials, including brochures, newsletters, and digital content.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels.

4. Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources such as hospitals, primary care providers, and other healthcare organizations.
  • Monitor client and partner feedback to identify opportunities for service improvement.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on community and business relationship activities.

5. Program Development and Advocacy

  • Collaborate with program directors to design services that meet the needs of the community.
  • Advocate for policies and initiatives that support behavioral health care access and equity.
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants and sponsorships, to support community outreach initiatives.

6. Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a team focused on business development and community outreach.
  • Set team goals and monitor progress to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Partner with clinical and administrative teams to integrate community needs into program planning.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in business development, community relations, or a related leadership role, preferably in behavioral health or healthcare.
