What are the responsibilities and job description for the Showroom Sales Assistant position at Prestige Marble & Granite?
The Showroom Assistant works with homeowners, designers, builders and contractors to help select materials and products. They will guide clients through the process by offering them product knowledge, presenting material sampling, assisting clients in selecting/matching products, and placing orders. The right candidates will be self motivated but will enjoy working in a friendly team oriented environment. The position is non-commissioned.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Greeting and assisting customers who enter the Showroom
- Answering phones and fielding calls to the appropriate party in a courteous and professional manner
- Performing general office duties including answering emails, scanning, faxing, filing, etc.
Candidates for consideration will posses:
- A strong desire to work with and help people
- Great organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
- A strong attention to detail
- Be available to work Saturdays
Candidates with familiarity with the kitchen and bath industry are encouraged to apply. Prior experience is beneficial but not necessary as training will be provided.
Prior experience in retail customer service is helpful
Possessing a keen eye for color is also a plus.
