Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures.
- Perform medical imaging as required, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with regulations.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Provide support in pediatric dentistry, making young patients feel comfortable and at ease.
- Utilize Opendental software for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and billing processes.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and maintained.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in dental terminology related to dentistry.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique to prevent infection during dental procedures.
- Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus, contributing to overall office efficiency.
- Knowledge of general dentistry practices is essential.
