Schedule: M-F, 8a-5p
Location: Onsite, Chattanooga, TN.
Pay: $70K-$96K (Depending on experience)
Job Summary:
- This position is responsible for assisting the Manager of Accounting to the annual external audits and tax filing requirements.
- The position will provide support in the routine closing process and ensures deadlines are met for financial reporting.
- Handles high volume of transactions, prepares complex account reconciliations and has significant involvement in financial activity/analysis (as assigned).
- Other responsibilities include the development and maintenance of analytical and departmental reports and ensuring compliance with current accounting standards.
- The position is responsible for providing direction to other Accountants to ensure the financial statements are accurately presented and records are maintained in accordance with GAAP.
- Performs research and analysis of financial statement activity.
Requirements:
Certified Public Accountant
- MBA or Masters with concentration in Accounting preferred
- 5 years of accounting experience
- Healthcare is helpful not required
- General ledger experience
- High-level financial projections and cash flow forecasting
- Experience running month end close and year end audits
Duties:
Assists the Finance executives and the Manager of Accounting in the preparation/maintenance of the general ledger
- Primary contact for the annual external Audits and Tax filing preparations
- Performs research and analysis of financial statement activity
- Handles high volume of transactions, prepares complex account reconciliations and has significant involvement in the monthly general ledger closing process or related activity/analysis
