Key Responsibilities
- Policy & Compliance: Update employment handbooks and policies in collaboration with HRBPs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Compensation & Job Structure: Assist with salary research, prepare reports, and craft clear, effective job descriptions for clients
- HR Operations: Assist HRBPs in processing employee status changes, managing terminations, setting up new client locations, and facilitating spin-off submissions
- Training & Development: Support clients in launching training programs through our Learning Management System (LMS)
- Vendor & Payroll Tax Coordination: Manage third-party vendor enrollments and terminations, and liaise with the payroll tax team to support state unemployment tax account (SUTA) requirements and POA requests
- Employee Relations Support: Assist HRBPs with client and employee inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional resolution of HR concerns
- HR Best Practices & Trends: Stay informed on employment laws, industry trends, and new HR technologies to provide clients with the most up-to-date guidance
- Special Projects: Contribute to department-wide initiatives and other assigned projects
- 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist (preferred)
- Experience working in a multi-state HR environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred)
- HRCI or SHRM certification is a plus
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Highly organized with strong time management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients
- Good understanding of employment laws and HR compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR-related systems
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex HR issues
