We are looking for a vibrant Human Resource Specialist to join our team, which specializes in the manufacturing of rotating electrics. Our Human Resource Specialist will play a key role in supporting the HR department by managing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Staffing: Coordinate and manage the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive work environment.
- Performance Management: Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems, including conducting performance reviews and providing feedback to employees.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including maintaining accurate employee records and handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Training and Development: Coordinate and facilitate employee training programs to enhance skills and knowledge, supporting career development and growth.
- HR Administration: Manage HR administrative tasks, such as maintaining employee records, processing payroll, and handling benefits administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in HR roles, preferably in a corporate setting, with a people-centric approach
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
- Must be comfortable on a manufacturing floor.
- Occasional travel may be required for recruitment events or training sessions.
- This is a full-time, on-site position in Arcade, New York.
