Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Release Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing release cycles across various applications. Your primary focus will be on ensuring seamless transitions between different environments and collaborating with stakeholders to establish a consistent release cadence.
Main Responsibilities
- Release Planning: Organize and facilitate effective release planning meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and aware of upcoming changes.
- Release Scheduling: Manage release schedules and key infrastructure initiatives across multiple applications to guarantee timely delivery of new features and updates.
- Release Execution: Plan, manage, and execute release cycles, including tracking release deliverables and functional/security test sign-offs to ensure high-quality releases.
- Release Coordination: Coordinate release builds to the appropriate environments (testing, production, etc.) to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth deployments.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data using SQL to generate release metrics and scorecards, providing valuable insights to inform future release planning decisions.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; alternatively, 6 years of relevant experience can substitute for the degree requirement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT change and release management.
- 5 years of experience in system integration processes.
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices in IT service management (change/release/incident/problem) management.
- Working knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
- Cloud infrastructure knowledge/experience is a plus.
- SQL/VB scripting/data analysis knowledge is a plus.
