Job Overview:
As a Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production process and the timely delivery of high-quality products to our customers. You will oversee day-to-day production activities, coordinate schedules, and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must apply intellect, judgment, and management skills to achieve desired production performance results across all KPIs. Daily tracking and ownership of improvement for key KPIs.
- Supervise and direct the work of direct reports across assigned shifts. Identify projects to drive the reduction of waste and increase efficiencies.
- Responsible for the shift's compliance with safety and environmental policies and ensuring all employees adhere to these policies, including basic housekeeping and 5s.
- Utilize a time-keeping system to monitor and approve associates' work hours.
- Effectively assist in projects related to safety and process improvements.
- Enforce company policies regarding safety, GMP, and production.
- Work well cross-functionally with maintenance and quality to ensure optimal production and to ensure bottles produced meet specifications.
- Ensure associates have the proper training and tools to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently.
- Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, evaluates, recognizes, and disciplines associates assigned to shift.
- Actively lead and/or participate in Plant Safety Committees, OEE workshops and projects, 5s and Kaizen projects, etc.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
You’ll be a good fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or the equivalent in experience.
- 2 years of experience in a production supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of production processes, including assembly, machining, and quality control.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements to drive operational efficiency.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in using production management software and ERP systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of safety regulations and ability to promote a safe working environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- 1 years of plastic blow molding operations (injection of preforms, 2-stage, EBM, ISBM, and IBM)
