What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at PRETIUM?
Summary:
Responsible for performing and/or be willing to train/learn all areas in the Department, including but not limited to: finishing all daily reports, IE, daily dock sheets forwarded to CSR’s, completed BOL’s forward to corporate, time documentation, monthly fork lift documentation, shipping logs, coordinate on warehouse inventory checks, daily and monthly instruction to staff and follow up on the same, making sure scrap and release requests are done in a timely fashion. Ordering of pallets and insuring we have enough daily, getting scrap and transfer trailers, and any paperwork and compliance with safety. Assist as back up Supervisor when Supervisor is not present at the Plant location.
Responsibilities:
- Performs assigned duties and acts in a manner that adheres to company safety policies and practices. Safety is a top priority in all aspects of this job.
- Maintains required material supply levels on the production floor. This includes the following:
a. Cartons and packaging supplies.
b. Pallets and shipping containers.
c. Resin and color concentrates as required by the product.
d. Component supplies required for production.
- Shift warehouseman stacks raw materials on the production floor neatly and safely in designated areas so that they are easily accessible by production workers.
- Accurately records all transactions and item movements.
- Unloads trucks and receives materials per standard procedures.
- Loads trucks for shipping per instructions.
- Changes batteries on lift trucks as required and follows all safety requirements. Also, maintains fork trucks daily check sheets.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area.
- Displays teamwork in performance of all duties.
- Participates in all required training and overtime assignments.
- Supports the goals and objectives of Pretium Packaging, LLC through adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and work requirements for successful completion of all assignments, including overtime as necessary.
Openings Available: Full-Time, Permanent, Day 12-hour
Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour, depending on experience
