Prevailance is seeking a highly experienced Program Manager to lead and manage operations, maintenance, and training programs for U.S. Navy Surface Ships. This senior-level role requires exceptional leadership, in-depth technical knowledge, and a strong understanding of Navy procedures, policies, and readiness requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for shipboard maintenance and operations projects, ensuring alignment with DoD regulations and policies
- Apply expertise in Navy surface ship engineering, combat systems, and specifications to meet program objectives
- Oversee implementation of the Surface Force Training and Readiness Manual (SFTRM), particularly readiness evaluations and the Optimum Fleet Response Plan (OFRP)
- Lead the preparation and execution of INSURV inspections, including understanding of the associated guides, schedules, and deliverables
- Manage programs related to Material Maintenance Management (3M), the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), and the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM)
- Deliver high-level briefings and effectively communicate program goals and results to Fleet leadership
- Travel up to 50% of the time, including onboard U.S. Naval vessels for multi-day operations
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 21 years of U.S. Navy service with demonstrated experience in shipboard maintenance, operations, and leadership
- Former Commanding Officer of a U.S. Navy surface ship
- Recent (within the last 5 years) experience with Fleet leadership, maintenance policies, and readiness evaluations
- Working knowledge of:
- Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements
- SFTRM Chapter 6 governing Readiness Evaluations
- INSURV publications, including Master Event Lists and Workbook deliverables
- Optimum Fleet Response Plan (OFRP)
- 3M and PMS systems
- Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) scoring and EOC definitions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Physically capable of climbing pilot ladders and staying aboard U.S. Naval vessels for consecutive days underway
Strongly Desired:
- 25 years of Navy Surface Warfare experience
- Experience as a Major Commanding Officer of a surface ship
- Experience as a Senior Inspector for the U.S. Navy Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV)
- Experience with Pre-INSURV preparations as an inspector for Afloat Training Group or TYCOM staff
- Proficiency in SharePoint
Education:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Security Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance

Salary : $85,000 - $125,000
