What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title I Certified Tutor position at Prevailing Faith Christian Academy?
Prevailing Faith Christian Academy in Monroe, LA is looking for one certified teacher for a contracted tutoring position to join our team. We are located on 1111 Plaza Blvd. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and reliable.
Available shifts and compensation: Preferred schedule would be Monday - Friday, 5 hours/day. Days and times are somewhat flexible.
Responsibilities
- Educate students according to predetermined guidelines
- Plan, coordinate, and implement student learning plans
- Provide a positive and nurturing learning environment
- Engage with parents regarding their student's performance at meetings
- Working in a collaborative effort with teaching staff to assist students
Qualifications
- Experience working as a tutor
- Ability to remain patient and positive with students
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Relevant certification or diploma as outlined by state laws
