Responsibilities
- Developing project schedules and timelines
- Analyzing and reviewing construction plans, documents and specs to build scope of work, costs and contracts
- Conducting analysis of drawings and specifications
- Working with project managers to understand and execute change order requests
- Conducting quality take-offs from drawings
- Preparing proposals
- Preparing preliminary construction budgets
- Preparing bid packages
- Reviewing plans and issuing RFIs
- Communicating with subcontractors and vendors to request bids/quotes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred but high school and equivalent work experience accepted
- Previous construction and full-time estimating experience needed
- Strong computer skills (Bluebeam, Timberline, Nitro or Excel)
