We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst II to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to prepare and analyze financial data, generate reports, and support various accounting and financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial reports, including consolidated annual financial statements, grant reports, and ad hoc reports for stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain financial systems such as Oracle EPM, LeaseQuery, and other financial software.
- Analyze and summarize account information and trends using GAAP standards.
- Support accounting functions, including general ledger, project accounting, fixed assets, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with policies, laws, and regulations.
- Provide policy guidance and financial information to departments, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct accounting research, stay updated on emerging trends, and assist with special projects.
- Maintain a safe and secure working environment by adhering to safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (equivalent experience may be substituted up to 4 years).
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in financial account reconciliation, financial reporting, and database management.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP and other financial systems.
- Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification is required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of accounting procedures, financial reporting concepts, and GAAP standards.
- Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial records and preparing intermediate-level financial statements.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software.
- Ability to handle large volumes of numerical data with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in financial decision-making.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to build effective working relationships.
