Job Title: Financial Analyst

Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $35/hr W2
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, accounting research, and financial system management. This role reports to the Program Manager – Technical Accounting and is responsible for preparing financial reports, analyzing accounting data, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and GASB standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial reports, including consolidated annual financial statements and grant reports.
- Manage financial systems such as Oracle EPM and LeaseQuery.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize financial data and trends.
- Support accounting functions, including general ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Ensure transactions comply with company policies, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Assist with external audits by providing financial data and documentation.
- Stay updated on emerging accounting trends and regulatory changes.
- Assist with special accounting projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (Four years of related experience may substitute for a degree.)
- 3 years of experience in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and database management.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and GASB standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, etc.) and Oracle ERP.
- CPA certification (preferred).
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in analyzing and interpreting financial records.
- Strong mathematical and data analysis skills.
- Experience designing spreadsheets and working with financial software.
- Ability to prepare accurate financial statements and resolve financial issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
