Pride Health is seeking a dedicated LIS Analyst to support a core laboratory and 23 satellite locations in Everett, WA 98201 (Hybrid), ensuring seamless integration and functionality across all sites. The LIS Analyst will work closely with the organization’s IT and EHR teams to ensure effective system operations.
Job Description:
The LIS Analyst is responsible for the comprehensive management, implementation, and optimization of the Laboratory Information System (LIS). Under minimal supervision, this position will oversee system building, testing, troubleshooting, and staff training, ensuring that the LIS meets the dynamic needs of the Clinical Laboratories and integrates effectively with other IT systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Day-to-Day Operations: Manage LIS workflow, updates, file maintenance, results, and reports while ensuring data accuracy.
- Interface Maintenance: Maintain LIS interfaces with reference labs, EHR, and other connected systems.
- Reporting: Generate reports for laboratory operations, workload management, and financial tracking.
- Problem Solving & Proposals: Investigate and propose solutions to LIS-related operational issues and escalate concerns to IT and leadership when necessary.
- Liaison Responsibilities: Act as the primary contact for LIS vendors and coordinate system updates and maintenance.
- Billing Support: Work with reimbursement and business office managers to ensure appropriate billing practices.
- Communication: Keep laboratory staff informed of system changes, policies, and procedural updates.
- Project Participation: Support LIS-related projects, upgrades, expansions, and new module implementations.
- Meetings & Professional Development: Attend training sessions, department meetings, and LIS-related workshops.
- Off-Hours Support: Provide technical assistance outside of normal business hours as needed.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of LIS, laboratory workflows, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with system implementation, troubleshooting, and user training.
- Ability to manage medium to large-scale projects, including budgeting and vendor management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train and support end-users.
- Knowledge of laboratory processes and regulatory compliance standards (CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, etc.).
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in medical technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with LIS in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Experience in Lean methodologies, project management, or process improvement is a plus.
Certification/Licensure:
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by ASCP, AMT, AAB, or a similar organization (preferred).

- Location: Everett, WA 98201 (Hybrid work environment – on-site and remote flexibility)
- Schedule: Days, 40 hours/week
- Employment Type: 26 Week Contract
- Pay Rate: $65 - $72/hour (based on experience)
